Bench Studies
Provided either in-house or on-site, Tetra Tech RTW conducts
bench-scale studies to examine various parameter, process, or technology
changes for their ability to influence plant performance. Such studies may
involve jar-testing to investigate required levels of chemical addition
or to examine the effect of sludge concentrations on metals uptake. Tetra Tech RTW's
bench studies can provide a powerful and cost-effective screening tool to
examine the potential for implementing a new technology. As an example,
Tetra Tech RTW has investigated electrochemical means for
mitigating metal concentrations in treated effluent.
